THE LIFE OF SAINT CATHERINE LABOURE

This book is the description of the life of Saint Catherine Laboure (1806-1876) which is made up on basis of the documents of that epoch. Catherine Laboure belonged to the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity founded by Saint Vincent de Paul. She served God helping sick people and poor people. Especially she saw the Virgin Mary in 1830. The Virgin Mary told her to strike a medal with a picture of the Immaculate Virgin Mary which is known in the whole world as Miraculous Medal. Catherine lived a life which was notable for simplicity. She had got nothing except love which always was with her and was efficient. She was devoted to God and to people.

Irina Zharnasiek
THY WILL BE DONE

The novel “Thy will be done” exposes to the readers of the 21st century one of the tragic pages of our Motherland’s history of the former century – the tragedy in Rositsy. Boundless love and cruel hatred, the sin of fratricide and readiness to sacrifice oneself for the sake of neighbours, thoughtless godlessness and great faith in God – the readers will find all this in the novel written by Irina Zharnasek. Its heroes are both historical persons – blessed Fathers Marians Anthony Lashchevich and Jury Kashyra – and those people who lived or could have lived beside them and who took part in those horrible and at the same time beautiful in its self-giving love and nobility events.
