«Our Faith» - Series «The Saints»
René Laurentin This book is the description of the life of Saint Catherine Laboure (1806-1876) which is made up on basis of the documents of that epoch. Catherine Laboure belonged to the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity founded by Saint Vincent de Paul. She served God helping sick people and poor people. Especially she saw the Virgin Mary in 1830. The Virgin Mary told her to strike a medal with a picture of the Immaculate Virgin Mary which is known in the whole world as Miraculous Medal. Catherine lived a life which was notable for simplicity. She had got nothing except love which always was with her and was efficient. She was devoted to God and to people.
