The organizers of this exhibition were the authorities of the Coast-dweller province and the joint-stock company “MTG”. The honorary patronage of the exhibition - the Primate of Poland cardinal Jusef Glemp, and the archbishop Tadeus Gazlovski, Metropolitan of Gdansk.
The sacral architecture and its directions, building, art, music, religious publishing-houses, printing-houses and workshops, information systems and multimedia of evangelization – so rich were the themes of the “First International Sacral Exhibition” at which the representatives from Spain, Germany, Austria, Poland and Belarus were present. Belarus was represented in the exhibition by the publishing house of the archdiocese Minsk und Mogilev “Pro Christo” which not only organized the presentation of own editions but also offered the visitors three photo-exhibitions: “Witness of Faith”, “Treasure that Can Be Saved” and “Spring of the Catholic Church in Belarus”.
Great interest arose the “Roman Missal” in Belarusian – the first and so far only one edition of the “Roman Missal” in the third redaction translated into the native language. There were many people near the photo-exhibitions. The greatest interest arose the photo-exhibition „Witness of Faith“ dedicated to the jubilee of priesthood of cardinal Kazimierz Swiatek. On the occasion of the 65th priesthood anniversary and the 90th jubilee of the hierarch of the Catholic Church in Belarus the publishing-house “Pro Christo” together with the printing-house “Apostolicum” published the album “Fidei testis”.
An interesting addition to the exhibition “Treasure that can be saved” was the calendar under the same title where were represented some icons out of the stock of the Old Belarusian art museum.
